The Serbian government approved at its session today the text of the project task for the "Serbian Oil Industry" public company, which defines the tasks of the privatisation advisor that is to be appointed. The text of the project task has been prepared by the Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining, the Ministry of Economy and the Privatisation Agency, and it has been examined by experts of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The government brought a decision on the establishment of a commission for providing assistance to Serbian citizens who are staying in a foreign country on an organised basis in cases of emergency situations in another country.
The government decided to accept the collective agreement for the Serbian Oil Industry office in Novi Sad.
Also, the import of 1,356 tonnes of diesel fuel type D 2 was approved.
The government reached a decision on dispatching aid to citizens of New Orleans, hit by hurricane Katrina and entrusted the Ministry of Health to offer the necessary medical assistance. To that end, the Ministry will contact the Serbia-Montenegrin Embassy in the US.
The programme on changes and amendments to the 2005 Programme of the Serbian Development Fund was adopted. These amendments concern the boosting of Serbia's regional development, in line with the government's programme for encouraging employment and reviving the economy in Kragujevac, Bor and Vranje.
The government adopted the Information on the programme of business and financial consolidation of the Nis Textile Industry Niteks socially-owned company, which is currently being restructured.
Also, the Information on implementation of the restructuring programme, preparation for the privatisation and application of a social welfare programme in the Electronic Industry from Nis was adopted.
The Information on the realisation of the programme of the business and financial consolidation of the shoes industry "Beograd" from Zemun was approved.
The government gave consent to the initiatives for launching privatisation of the public publishing companies "Narodne Novine" from Nis, "Rec Radnika" from Aleksinac and "Slobodna Rec" from Vranje.
