Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic attended today, together with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, the commencement of the construction of the Moravian Corridor, a 112.3-kilometer motorway that will connect Pojate and Preljina.

Mihajlovic pointed out that the Moravian Corridor is the fourth motorway on which the works have begun this year, and the first to connect the east and west of central Serbia, Corridor 10 with the Milos Veliki motorway.
She added that the construction of the Moravian Corridor will make the journey through central Serbia not only shorter but also safer.
Under the commercial agreement, the cost of the construction of the 112.3 kilometers of motorway amounts to €745 million. Additional works and direct and indirect material costs of 20 percent are also foreseen.
The construction project of the Moravian Corridor envisages that in two years Krusevac will be connected to Corridor 10 by motorway, that in less than three years Kraljevo and Cacak will be connected by motorway to the Milos Veliki motorway and that the complete project will be completed in four years.
