Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Ivanovic and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Milan Urban have signed an agreement on economic cooperation between the two countries.
The signatories said that this document, together with earlier agreements on the protection of investments and avoiding double taxation, will round off the legal framework for economic cooperation between Serbia-Montenegro and the Czech Republic.
Ivanovic said following the signing ceremony that Serbia-Montenegro must seek to sell more goods in the Czech market in order to close the gap in trade with the central European country.
He also said that Serbia-Montenegro must develop the small and medium sized sector in order to improve competitiveness of its products in the Czech Republic’s market.
The delegation of the Serbia-Montenegrin Ministry of International Economic Relations will also meet today with representatives of Czech agencies supporting trade and foreign investment and with officials of the Ministry of Local Development to discuss cooperation in the tourism industry.
