The Serbian government adopted today the Decision on the choice of a strategic partner for realisation of the project of construction of the the Pojate-Preljina section of the E-761 highway - the Morava Corridor.
Following a public call for a strategic partner, the selected Behtel-Enka Consortium will build the 112-kilometre Morava Corridor. This will connect Corridor 10 and the Milos Veliki highway, as well as approximately 500,000 people and the cities of Cacak, Kraljevo, Vrnjacka Banja, Trstenik, Krusevac, Stalac and Cicevac.
In addition to the construction of the highway, the project will include regulation of the West Morava river and its tributaries, as well as the construction of telecommunications infrastructure.
The government adopted the Platform for the Participation of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia at the China International Investment and Trade Fair, which will be held from September 8 to 11 this year in the city of Xiamen in Fujian province.
Serbia's participation in this fair will open new opportunities for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and greater Chinese investment in various areas in Serbia.
Serbia will present concrete projects, institutions and companies in the 810 square meter exhibition space, in order to better present the country's economic and investment potential.
The Serbian delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.
At today's session, the government also passed the decisions on the establishment of the Western Serbia Academy of Professional Studies, the Sumadija Academy of Professional Studies, the Belgrade Academy of Technical Professional Studies and the Belgrade Academy of Technical and Artistic Studies.
The establishment of these academies will contribute to a more efficient and economical achievement of the objectives of vocational higher education and its linking with the needs of the labour market.
