First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto on the eve of the joint session of the governments of Serbia and Hungary in Subotica.
The two officials expressed mutual satisfaction with the current development of bilateral relations, whose upward trend is confirmed by the regular holding of joint sessions of the two governments.
They emphasised that it is very important to preserve the dynamics of holding meetings of the two governments that send a strong political message, and confirm a high degree of understanding and trust in the relations of the two countries.
It was jointly assessed that overall bilateral cooperation is continually improving, and that achieving energy stability and better infrastructure connections are some of the priorities in the upcoming period.
Dacic expressed his gratitude to Szijjarto for his consistent support to European integration of Serbia, while Szijjarto expressed satisfaction with the status of the Hungarian national minority in Serbia.
