The Deputy Prime Minister was welcomed by the leadership of the Communist Party Committee and the Government of Shandong Province, led by the Secretary of the CPC of this province, Lin Wu.
Mesarović recalled that a particularly strong impetus to the growth of our economy and the implementation of infrastructure projects is provided by companies from Shandong, such as Ling Long or Shandong Hi Speed Group.
She underlined that Serbia is recognised as an important strategic partner, and that Chinese friends appreciate our country's support for the Belt and Road Initiative.
According to her, it is necessary to be guided by the consensus of the leaders of the two countries in the future, to look for new growth points, as well as to work on new projects and investments and expand them.
Mesarović stated that at the meeting with Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee Lin Wu, an agreement was reached on concrete support in the marketing of Serbian wines, as well as all other food and agricultural products in this large market.
She explained that these products are price competitive on the Chinese market, which is a possibility provided by the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.
It is in Shandong that we market Serbian wines and all those products that can compete with Chinese ones in terms of price and quality, said Mesarović and added that concrete support will also follow the realisation of new investments.
On this occasion, the Minister also presented companies that are producers of quality wine from Serbia, whose representatives are part of the Serbian delegation.
Mesarović also announced that meetings will be held today with representatives of several companies that are planning potential investment in our country, as well as that Serbia will soon organise a large economic forum, which will bring together prominent businessmen from this province who are planning to develop business in Europe.
