Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović met with representatives of China Resources Vanguard, one of the largest retail chains in China.
The company, which is part of the state-owned China Resources Group, operates a wide network of supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores across China, with a particularly strong presence in the Guangdong province and large urban centres such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Mesarović stated that the meeting looked at the marketing of Serbian wines, spirits, food and agricultural products, adding that she expects this giant to soon start marketing our products.
We expect Serbian wines to be on shelves throughout the People's Republic of China and that consumers throughout that friendly country will recognise the quality of our products, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
She pointed out that, thanks to the Free Trade Agreement, we have a strategic tool in our hands through which we can market, under competitive conditions, agricultural and food products at one of the world’s largest markets.
