The Serbian government adopted today the Health Care Bill, which regulates the health care system, its organisation, social care for the public health, the general interest and supervision over the implementation of this law.
Today the government also adopted the bills on the ratification of the Convention on the establishment of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the ratification of the Protocol on the privileges and immunities of this international organisation.
A full membership in this organisation will enable Serbia to significantly improve conditions for engaging in scientific work in the institutions of higher education and science and research in the country, and will also allow for the inclusion of Serbia in the European and world research space.
By signing the Protocol, Serbia will be granted the privileges and immunities necessary for carrying out scientific activities.
The government also adopted the Decree on the criteria for allocation of funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia for the financing of the work of national councils of national minorities, which prescribes allocating 30% of the earmarked funds equally to all registered national councils, and the remaining 70% proportionately with the number of members of a particular national minority.
The government adopted the Decree on the establishment of the Programme of support to the implementation of population policy measures in the Republic of Serbia for 2019.
Given that its priority is to improve the demographic picture of the country, the government has set aside RSD 650,000,000 for the implementation of this programme.
The Serbian government passed the Decision on the establishment of company "The Fifth European University Games Belgrade 2020", on the occasion of holding the European University Games in Belgrade in July 2020, at which students-athletes will compete in 25 sports and sport disciplines.
The founder of this company is the Republic of Serbia and its headquarters will be in Belgrade.
