Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Chepurin.
President Vucic and Prime Minister Brnabic expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Chepurin for the fact that Russia understands what is happening in Kosovo-Metohija and how peace and stability are threatened in the entire region.
The Serbian President stressed that this is the most powerful attempt at endangering the survival of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija so far.
He said that even in such a situation Serbia will continue to act seriously and responsibly, but that there is no reason anymore to have trust in the KFOR mission, i.e. NATO in Kosovo-Metohija, as it turned out that everything they said about the movement of the Kosovo police units was a pure fiction.
Ambassador Chepurin pointed out that the Russian leadership is closely monitoring the development of the situation, as can be seen from the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and that he believes that Serbia, as a serious state, will be able to deal with provocation and threats of confrontation in a responsible manner, reads a statement from the Presidency of Serbia.
