The Serbian government stated that the three priority measures of the National programme for the suppression of gray economy will be the development and application of the e-Inspector software, a better coordination of inspections and prosecutors' offices in the prosecution of offences in the field of gray economy and reduction in the number of parafiscal charges.
The government will pay a special attention to the sectors of hospitality and tourism, agriculture and transport, which have the highest risk of the gray zone activity.
At a joint session of the Serbian government’s Coordination body and the Expert group for directing activities on the suppression of the gray economy which was held today at the Serbian government, the participants in the meeting assessed that the amendments adopted to the Law on tax procedure and tax administration will have a positive effect in reducing the gray economy and offences such as failure to give receipts and register employees.
