Djuric said at a press conference in the Serbian government that he expects that, instead of threatening with war, which cannot bring anything good, representatives of Pristina will enable the Serbs to start working on the formation and drafting of the Statute of the Community of Serbian Municipalities in the next three weeks.
Serbia is committed to peace, Serbia wants, has been preserving and is preserving peace and therefore supports the conclusions of the Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija and their intention to start forming the Community, Djuric pointed out.
He told some Pristina ministers who threaten to arrest Serbian representatives in the province if the Community is formed that they should first arrest themselves because they have not implemented the Brussels Agreement for five years.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija assessed that the talks that President Aleksandar Vucic yesterday had with Russia's President Vladimir Putin and international officials are encouraging for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, because it is clear that Serbia is struggling, that it is not alone in its efforts to preserve peace and points to the respect of the agreement.
According to Djuric, Serbia supports the establishment of the Community as outlined in the Brussels Agreement, and not as some Albanian media or politicians imagine, referring to the decisions of the Constitutional Court.
The only possible form is as stipulated in the Brussels Agreement. By the decision of the Constitutional Court, the Kosovo Albanians annulled 22 of the 23 points of the principle for establishing the Community, and such formation will not be possible, Djuric emphasised, adding that he shares the opinion of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that political representatives of Albanians are not serious about establishing the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
Also, Djuric said that on Monday all Serbia could see the threat to the country by forming a Kosovo Army and told the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija not to accept to take part in such an illegal armed formation.
He stressed that the Kosovo Army would have only one function - to fight the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, their interests and the state of Serbia.
Commenting on the interest of KFOR in the overflying of the Serbian Army air force over Presevo, Djuric explained that that is a regular military activity that was announced more than a year ago.
KFOR says that it is carrying out regular checks. I did not notice that they conducted such checks when hundreds of masked and fully armed men, who are terrorist for me, invaded northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Monday. I did not see KFOR or any regular checks at that moment, the Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija said.
Djuric said that Serbian Army aircraft flew over Presevo just as they flew over Cuprija or any other city in Serbia, and that they will continue with such activities.
