Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric said today that Albanian separatists, with the support of international Western circles, attacked our people in the north of Kosovo-Metohija yesterday with the aim of occupying this part of the province through violence, terror and intimidation.
In his address to the public after the meeting of representatives of the Serbian List with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Djuric said he was absolutely sure that his yesterday’s arrest in Kosovska Mitrovica and the handcuffing in Pristina was carried out with the approval of certain Western countries.
He said that after the arrest he was mistreated and beaten, and that one call from Belgrade prevented even bigger terror against the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.
Djuric underlined that his arrival to Kosovo-Metohija had been announced on time, more than 70 hours before the gathering, in accordance with all agreements, and added that it is a notorious lie that the institutions in Pristina were not informed on time.
He reiterated that the international missions and representatives of the provisional self-government in Pristina were informed about his arrival on time.
He said that at yesterday’s roundtable in Kosovska Mitrovica, it was planned to discuss how to overcome problems that exist between Serbs and Albanians and to reach a compromise solution in a peaceful and democratic way.
In Kosovska Mitrovica we started to talk freely about the future, and then they sent hundreds of heavily armed individuals that I cannot call police, but a raging terrorist gang to attack the democratically elected representatives of the Serbs and to beat bare-handed, unarmed people who wanted to talk about the future, Djuric said.
President of the Serbian List Goran Rakic said that this list will leave the Kosovo government and that the 10 majority Serbian municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija will form the Community of Serbian Municipalities on 20 April.
