The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on the customs tariff in line with the EU regulations and submitted it to the parliament for adoption. Also as part of the session, the government adopted the Bill on changes and amendments to the Law on customs and the Bill on changes and amendments to the Law on administrative taxes.
The government passed the Decision on establishing the national strategy for fight against corruption, whose drafting is stipulated by the Action Plan for EU accession.
The government also passed the Decree on the use of funds for food safety certification in 2005 as well as the Decree on changes to the Decree on the programme for the building, reconstruction, and maintenance of water-management facilities in 2005.
The government also decided to set aside 10 million dinars from the Fund for Kosovo-Metohija towards providing accommodation for internally displaced persons in Kosovska Mitrovica.
The government decided to grant one-off financial aid to 15,000 vulnerable people in Kragujevac. A further 70 people in Kursumlija will also receive 8,000 dinars each for the same purpose.
As part of the session, the government adopted the Information on the need to draft a strategy to encourage foreign investment.
The government decided to offer guarantees to the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague for a pre-trial release of Sava Todovic.
