The Serbian government stated today that it has made one more step towards more a efficient, economic and cheaper business doing, since accounting documents, including invoices, will not have to be printed, or have a stamp and signature.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic signed today an Explanation regarding the issuing and entering into records of invoices in the paper and electronic form without the use of stamps and signatures.
The Explanation, which will be submitted to the competent authorities and institutions, prescribes that legal entities and entrepreneurs can issue invoices in paper or electronic form.
The key clarification is that it is not mandatory to print an invoice that was originally made in electronic form, or to put a stamp on a printed document in order to be considered valid.
The electronic invoice is valid in electronic form, without signature and stamp, it does not have to be printed or sent by post.
The invoice that was originally made in paper form does not have to include the stamp and the signature of the responsible person. The invoice made in electronic form or through digitization also does not have to be signed by electronic signature.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that the application of this regulation eliminates unnecessary costs and facilitates business operations, pointing out that saving money, paper and time means faster, more efficient and rational business, in accordance with modern standards.
