Decisions that violate unity of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija should be withdrawn

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric stated that Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic gave a deadline to Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija to withdraw all harmful decisions by 31 December if they want to take part in the single policy of Serbs and the state of Serbia in Kosovo-Metohija.
Addressing the reporters, after the meeting of the Prime Minister with Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija, Djuric said that the Prime Minister made it clear that all their decisions must be unified.
In order to preserve a united activity of the Serbs, those who made the decision on the dismissal of Ljubomor Maric independently and without the Serbian government, must withdraw their harmful decisions by 31 December, he specified.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija said that Mirjana Jevtic, who was appointed to the position of minister in the Kosovo government instead of Maric, should step down from this function.
According to him, the meeting was attended by deputies of the Serbian List, Serbian representatives in the Kosovo government and the mayors, but not Minister Mirjana Jevtic.
At the same time, Djuric said that Vucic informed the representatives of Serbs from Kosovo that he intends to visit the Serbian people in the province on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, as well as our holy sites and to talk with people.
He expressed the belief that this is very important because the presence of the government of Serbia is reassuring and gives faith in the survival and future of the Serbian people in the province.
If in the next few weeks no concrete steps are made towards the creation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities , Serbian representatives will in agreement with their state start establishing this community on their own as of 15 February 2017, Djuric stated.
Serbs will decide on their own on the jurisdictions of the Community of Serbian Municipalities and they will create on their own the institutions that should be the prerequisite for the survival and preservation of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, explained.
