Community of Serbian municipalities must be formed in line with Brussels agreements

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric spoke today with Political Director of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anna-Karin Eneström about the state of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Djuric and Eneström agreed that the reaching of the Agreement on telecommunications made significant progress in the normalization of relations, and that dialogue and the implementation of all agreements signed should be continued in the same constructive way.
By concluding the Agreement on telecommunications, Pristina has remained without excuse for blocking the further delay in the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities, Djuric said and added that the next step in the implementation of the Brussels agreement has to be the adoption of a decree on the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
Djuric underlined that the Community of Serbian municipalities should be formed in accordance with the agreements made in Brussels, because anything else would mean avoiding commitments and rendering senseless the process of dialogue with the mediation of the European Union.
