Agreement on telecommunications confirmed in Brussels

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric said that today in Brussels, after three days of talks, that the agreement on the implementation of the Agreement on telecommunications between Belgrade and Pristina has been confirmed and all the details of its implementation agreed upon.
Djuric said that a new era for the company Telekom Srbija is starting, as it will operate in the entire territory of the Republic of Serbia, including Kosovo-Metohija, and its value as a whole will be increased.
He said that an important agreement on the frequencies and the distribution of locations for new transmitters and base stations of Telekom Srbija has been reached.
According to him, for the first time in many years, our telecommunication system is rounded up from Horgos to the Shar mountain and there is no need anymore to transfer signal from central Serbia.
Djuric explained that this means that on the Shar mountain, Brezovica, Strpce, Gracanica and Klokot there will be 3G and 4G technologies and high speed internet and everything that has so far been denied.
The agreement on the assets of Telekom Srbija and their transfer to the daughter company has been confirmed.
It was also agreed to confirm everything until 29 November with documents that will corroborate the increase of capital of company MTS Telekom Srbija in Kosovo-Metohija, Djuric stated.
In addition, the registration into the cadastre of the entire immovable property of Telekom Srbija in Kosovo-Metohija will be regulated with documents.
Djuric concluded that in this way the establishment of our telecommunication system in the entire territory of Serbia has been completed.
