In relation to the 2004 average, the processing industry in March recorded a 5.1 percent decline and the production and distribution of electricity, natural gas and water increased 21.1 percent.
In relation to the 2004 average, the production of energy in March 2005 increased 15 percent, while declines were recorded in the production of capital goods - 32.8 percent, durable consumer goods - 17.9 percent, intermediate goods (excluding energy) - 0.9 percent and non-durable consumer goods - 0.4 percent.
Industrial production recorded a decline across 21 sectors, and a rise in 8 sectors, accounting for 47 and 53 percent respectively of total industrial output in Serbia in the period between January and March 2005 against the same period last year.
