First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Checko, who is about to finish his diplomatic mission in our country.

At the meeting, both sides agreed that bilateral relations significantly improved, without any outstanding issues, and that there is room for intensification of political and economic cooperation.
Dacic thanked the Polish Ambassador for cooperation and personal contribution to the improvement of relations between the two countries, as well as the Polish abstention during the vote at the General Conference of UNESCO.
Checko conveyed appreciation for the excellent cooperation and congratulated Serbia on the opening of the first chapters in the negotiations with the EU.
He expressed hope that relations between the two countries will further develop in the coming period, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
