Mesarović said that the potential investment in Serbia is strategically significant, considering that it would bring technological innovations and new jobs, with a direct impact on GDP growth, as well as significant potential for creating a supply chain within this industry.
The Deputy Prime Minister, continuing her working visit to the People’s Republic of China, also met with Mayor of Tianjin Gong Zhang, who, she noted, promised to provide strong support for TBEA to open a transformer factory in Serbia.
According to her, steps were specified for establishing cooperation and ensuring far greater availability of competitive Serbian products, primarily wine, brandy, honey, prunes and others, which have found demand in this large market.
In Shijiazhuang, Mesarović met with the management of Jiaotong Hebei, with whom she discussed topics important for the future development of trade between Serbia and China.
She stated that the need to introduce two air cargo routes from the Chinese province of Hebei to Niš has been confirmed, taking into account the growing demand for goods transport, which is a result of the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and China.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that concrete cooperation will be established with this company in the field of delivery of all products for which it provides logistics services for e-platforms.
She emphasised that it has been confirmed that Serbia will serve as the European destination where goods will be delivered and then further distributed to other countries.
