Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović spoke with Party Secretary of Hebei Province Ni Yuefeng about further deepening Serbian-Chinese cooperation.
Mesarović said that she received assurances on the promotion and sales of as many Serbian products as possible, adding that there is potential for a significant number of giants from Hebei to come to Serbia in the coming period, open production facilities and create new jobs.
The Deputy Prime Minister also visited JA SOLAR, one of the leading global companies in the field of solar panel production and energy storage systems, which integrates the entire production chain.
According to her, Serbia has sent a clear invitation to this company to direct its investment plans towards our country, with full institutional support and readiness to implement specific investment projects in the short term.
Mesarović also held a meeting with the largest companies from the Chinese province of Hebei, which expressed interest in expanding their business to the European market.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the potential of Serbian companies Simpo and Yumco was presented to the Chinese hosts, with the aim of establishing concrete business cooperation.
Mesarović today also visited the Shijiazhuang International Biomedical Park, a complex within the high-tech zone that brings together companies and institutions in the fields of medicine, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and is one of the most advanced centres for the development of the biopharmaceutical industry in China.
In a discussion with the company’s management, Mesarović emphasised that it is of exceptional importance for Serbia to build partnerships with such centres, adding that Serbia’s goal is to attract investments that generate high added value, introduce new technologies and create opportunities for integrating the domestic economy into global supply chains.
