Opening first chapters historic success of Serbia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the opening of the first chapters of EU accession negotiations is a historic success of Serbia, which will next year definitely be on the right track.

Speaking at the conference "The Economist: The World in 2016", Dacic said that the historic results of our country included the successful chairmanship of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2015.
In difficult conditions in current international relations, it is almost impossible to manage any organisation that is based on the principle of consensus without a large influence and power of the country, he said and added that Serbia completed this task successfully.
Dacic also pointed to the results that our country has achieved in terms of defending national and state interests, such as voting in UNESCO and preventing the adoption of the Srebrenica resolution in the United Nations.
