Mihajlovic said in a press release that the government led by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic made it clear that Serbia is heading towards the EU and that no one can pull it back from this path.
She pointed out that today we also need to remember all those who in the last 15 years have contributed to the opening of the first chapters.
Mihajlovic mentioned the contribution of the governments led by Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, Vojislav Kostunica, Mirko Cvetkovic and Ivica Dacic, as well as the merits of former President Boris Tadic.
According to Mihajlovic, the policy of Prime Minister Vucic gave a definite contribution to Serbia’s opening of the first chapters today in Brussels.
Our country, she underlined, goes towards the EU and will become a full member because of the citizens of Serbia, their better living standards and a stronger economy.
The opening of chapters means the opening of other important political and social perspectives of our country, Mihajlovic said, adding that this shows that Serbia is a pillar of stability in the region.
She noted that a lot of work is ahead of our country in the accession process, but added that at the end of the negotiations the Serbian government will achieve its main goal, which is a modern, safe, economically developed and decent Serbia.
On this path we also expect aid from our friends – members of the EU, but we will also not forget our historical friends, Mihajlovic concluded.
