Mihajlovic said at the gala dinner organised by the Italian-Serbian Business Chamber last night said that Italy is our first trade partner and Italian companies employ approximately 26,000 people in Serbia.
We are trying to build partner relationships and make room for more companies to come to our country, said Mihajlovic.
She noted that the largest number of Italian companies operating in Serbia in the branch of the textile industry, but to have them in all other areas - from construction, infrastructure, to the IT industry.
The Deputy Prime Minister called on Italian investors to invest in Serbia and said that the business environment is now better, and that each ministry is open to any kind of assistance.
Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo said that by opening the first negotiation chapters in its EU talks on 14 December, Serbia will open the door to Europe, but for me and all 250 members of the Italian-Serbian Business Chamber, Europe is already here.
President of the Italian-Serbian Business Chamber and CEO of Unicredit bank Claudio Cesario said that since the beginning of the year until October, Serbia exported more to Italy than vice versa.
Cesario said that the presence of Italian companies that decide to invest in Serbia significantly increased and noted that the prospects promising.
