Government receives revised bids for purchase of Telekom

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said that the Serbian government’s Commission for the sale of Telekom received yesterday revised offers of all six bids for the purchase of this company.
Ljajic told the Tanjug news agency that the Commission at a session held last week had requested revised bids for the purchase of Telekom, with all the documentation necessary for this transaction, with the aim of increasing competition among bidders.
According to Ljajic, privatisation adviser for sale of Telekom "Lazard" will analyse the revised offers all six bidders in next few days, and submit its opinion to the Commission, which will then make a final decision.
The Serbian government will sell Telekom if it is offered an appropriate price and a proper social welfare and investment programme for this company, he underlined.
