The ambassadors handed over to Dacic a letter of invitation of foreign ministers of Germany and Italy Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Paolo Gentiloni respectively for participation in the seventh annual conference of foreign ministers of South East Europe, which will be held on 24 November in Berlin, organised by the "Aspen Institute Germany" and partner countries, which is Italy this year.
The aim of the conference is to enable high officials from South East Europe, the EU and the United States to discuss issues related to the refugee crisis, reconciliation in the region, modernisation and economic prosperity, and to identify ways for closer regional cooperation and to intensify the integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
Dacic accepted the invitation for this conference.
During the talks, the officials discussed the issues of Serbia's European integration process, migration flows and preparation of the Ministerial Meeting of the OSCE, and they also expressed the expectation that the Second intergovernmental conference will be held in mid-December, at which the first negotiation chapters will be opened.
It was estimated that Serbia has been a credible partner of the EU to date when it comes to migrant crisis.
Dacic informed the ambassadors that the preparations for the ministerial meeting of the OSCE are in the final stage and that the participation of 57 member states is expected, Mediterranean and Asian partners and numerous international organisations, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
