Engagement of UNMIK crucial for survival of Serbs in Kosovo

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has conveyed today the new Head of Mission of UNMIK Zahir Tanin expectation that this mission will continue to work in full capacity on the basis of its mandate and in accordance with UNSC Resolution 1244.

The meeting also touched on estimates of the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija, operation of UNMIK, as well as the importance of further engaging this mission in areas key to the survival of a normal and dignified life for Serbs and members of other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo-Metohija.
