Djuric said in a statement to Tanjug news agency that Serbia will not give up its diplomatic struggle that will continue in the coming days, to prevent Kosovo's membership in UNESCO, noting that no matter how grave this battle be, it is not yet completed.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija noted that no voting can change history or identity and historical memory of our people.
As a result of this vote, our Imperial Lavra, our monasteries and all our other shrines in Kosovo-Metohija will not be less Serbian. And the people, our living holy shrines in Kosovo-Metohija, together with monks and clergy of our Serbian Orthodox Church , will continue to keep our sanctuaries, as it has been done during all the centuries until now, concluded Djuric.
The Executive Council of UNESCO recommended today by majority of votes to the General Conference of UNESCO admission of Kosovo to UNESCO.
