Attack on Leposavic municipality president strongly condemned

Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric strongly condemned the attack on president of Leposavic municipality Dragan Jablanovic, whose family house was last night hit by a bomb.
Djuric called on the authorities to urgently find the perpetrators and establish the motive of the attack.
He pointed out that an attack on any Serb in Kosovo-Metohija naturally causes fear and threatens to destabilise the situation in the province.
In recent years, enormous efforts have been made for the Serbs, like all other people of Europe, to live in an atmosphere of rule of law, he said.
Attacks of this kind take us back to the atmosphere of anxiety and no rule of law, the Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija said.
The police must be aware of the fact that the attacks on the legitimately elected political representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija have a special significance, he said and noted that this must not remain without a court epilogue, a statement by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija reads.
