Closing border of Croatia affects region negatively

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said that the freedom of movement of goods, people and capital is one of the fundamental principles of the EU, which Croatia has undermined, precisely as an EU member.

Dacic underlined last night in a written statement to the media that Serbia is grateful to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on a very fair statement in which she confirms Serbia's position that closing Croatian border to freight traffic is not the solution and that has negative consequences on the region.
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian government have been highlighting from the very beginning Serbia’s readiness to constructively approach the solving of the problem, he recalled.
Dacic said that Serbia expects that Croatia, after such a position of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, will immediately withdraw its unlawful unilateral decision to close the border for freight traffic.
