Dacic stressed that Croatia has taken measures which are not in accordance with good neighbourly relations and international standards, adding that this is the first closing of the border between Serbia and Croatia since the 1990s war.
He pointed out that the current refugee crisis has nothing to do with unilateral moves of Croatian authorities towards Serbia in respect of the free movement of goods, which is an example of the brutal economic aggression directed towards Serbia.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that Serbia will refrain from the use of reciprocal measures against the Republic of Croatia till 23 September at midnight to give space to a mutually acceptable solution to the problem.
Dacic said that Serbia does not want to be found in the position of the victim, because it does not determine the route of migrants and is not involved in the organisation of their transfer to the EU borders.
The Republic of Serbia has done everything to provide humane treatment for refugees from the Near and Middle East in the territory of Serbia, he said and added that all necessary procedures with regard to their registration, health care and any other form of protection were performed.
Dacic said that he is proud that not a single incident against migrants on religious or racial grounds occured.
Representatives of the Quint countries expressed their satisfaction with the conduct of the government of the Republic of Serbia towards migrants, as well as the decision to postpone the application of reciprocal measures.
