Dacic also met with President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milan Stech, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomir Zaoralek.
He recalled that the relations between Serbia and the Czech Republic have traditionally been good, with a tendency of further improvement.
We are particularly pleased by the recent visit of the Czech Prime Minister Belgrade, he said and added that this was an opportunity for Sobotka and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to discuss cooperation in all fields, especially in economy.
Trade between the two countries reached more than €600 million, while the greatest opportunities to strengthen economic relations exist in the field of energy, transport and infrastructure.
Dacic expressed belief that there is much scope for improvement of cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic, noting that additional bilateral agreements in various areas will be signed.
The First Deputy Prime Minister conveyed gratitude to the Czech Republic for the great support that the country has provided to Serbia in the European integration process, and expressed wish to improve relations through meetings and visits at the highest level.
He also reiterated the appeal to the EU to come up with a common solution for the
migrant crisis, with a reminder that 140,000 migrants passed through our country, while 550 applied for asylum.
Serbia has demonstrated a high level of responsibility, and there have been no incidents by the citizens of Serbia that could be interpreted as anti-migrant, he explained.
Dacic extended an invitation to Zaoralek to visit Serbia, and expressed hope that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic will attend the OSCE Ministerial Council, which will be held in December in Belgrade.
