Strengthening of economic cooperation of Serbia, India in mutual interest

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Ambassador of India to Serbia Narinder Chauhan agreed today that relations between the two countries are traditionally friendly and based on principles of the UN Charter and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Dacic expressed satisfaction with the overall cooperation between Serbia and India, but also the interest in further strengthening of political dialogue, economic cooperation and the increase of India’s investment in Serbia.
He informed Chauhan about our views on the issue of the Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija and the monuments inscribed in the UNESCO List of World Heritage that are endangered.
Chauhan called for the improvement of bilateral political and economic relations as well as for the strengthening of cultural and educational cooperation, and cooperation in international organisations.
She informed Dacic on India’s position regarding the reform of the UN and, in this context, of the UN Security Council.
