ITU will fully contribute to implementation of Brussels agreement

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met today in Geneva with Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao.

Ljajic and Zhao discussed the implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels between representatives of Belgrade and Pristina that refers to telecommunications.
Ljajic said that the government of the Republic of Serbia will respect and implement all that was agreed and signed in Brussels, and that the same is expected from the Pristina side.
He also pointed out that the agreement reached in the field of telecommunications is in accordance with the statute and principles of the ITU.
Zhao stressed that Serbia, as a member of the ITU, is an essential factor in this process and that the ITU will fully contribute to the implementation of the agreement from Brussels, according to a statement from the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
Ljajic said that the government of the Republic of Serbia will respect and implement all that was agreed and signed in Brussels, and that the same is expected from the Pristina side.
He also pointed out that the agreement reached in the field of telecommunications is in accordance with the statute and principles of the ITU.
