The First Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Markovic, expressing hope that this move will contribute to even stronger relations between Greece and Serbia.
Upon handing over the Charter to Markovic, Mayor of Katerini Savvas Chionidis expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation between Greece and Serbia, Jagodina and Katerini, which is the capital city of the Pieria regional unit on the coast of the Aegean Sea.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, Serbian Consul to Thessaloniki Sinisa Pavic, senior officials of Jagodina and Katerini and representatives of the Greek Orthodox Church.
