Dacic expressed expectation that the dynamics of visits at high and highest level will continue, highlighting the successful visit of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to Tunisia in March 2014, which was organised to mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War II.
With reference to the foreign policy priorities of Serbia, which includes the maintenance and strengthening of the traditional friendship, the First Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the consistent position of Tunisia in terms of non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
Dacic wished Hamlaoui successful continuation of his engagement, assured that the good cooperation will continue, with the full support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the solidarity Serbia has demonstrated following the recent terrorist attacks in his country.
He noted that telegrammes of condolences of President Nikolic, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Ivica Dacic were accepted as moral, friendly support to the Tunisian people.
Along with congratulations for the Serbian presidency of the OSCE, Hamlaoui concluded that the Serbian diplomacy has found its place in the international arena, and returned to the place where it naturally belongs.
The Ambassador also conveyed gratitude to the state leadership of Serbia for the courtesy and hospitality, as well as associates in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their assistance and support during his tenure.
