The participants in the meeting, held within the framework of the Trilateral Economic Committee of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey, signed the Rules of Procedure of the Committee, which lays down the objectives of its activties.
Energy, infrastructure, agriculture and food production, and tourism were defined by the document as priority fields for the improvement of economic relations of the three countries.
At a meeting, it was agreed to continue activities on further liberalisation of the free trade agreements that Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have concluded with Turkey, which involves expanding the list of products that will be included in the duty-free export regime to the Turkish market.
The participants in the Economic trilateral meeting also agreed to open in Istanbul a joint trade and tourist office of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, whose foundation will be financed by the government of Turkey.
Davutoglu and Zeybekci pointed out that Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina have all the economic representative offices of Turkey in the world at their disposal, to search for new markets and potential investors.
It was also agreed to hold a big business forum of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey in Sarajevo in October this year, which will be an opportunity for further promotion of economic cooperation, increase of the volume of trade, as well as for arrangements of businessmen from the three countries regarding a common appearance on the European and international markets and new Turkish investments in the region, reads a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
