Djuric, who attended the protest of support to the leader of the Citizens' Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice Oliver Ivanovic and retired police colonel Dragoljub Delibasic in Kosovska Mitrovica, underlined that Serbia will continue to support the defence of Oliver Ivanovic.
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic also speaks every day with those responsible in the international community about Ivanovic, Djuric stated.
While Ivanovic is behind bars, we can say that freedom for the Serbs is also behind bars, he said and added that it was good that all the Serbs in Kosovo have shown solidarity with Ivanovic and Serbia as a whole stood up to show solidarity with him, because this further made senseless the goal of those who arrested him.
According to Djuric, those who decide on the termination of custody need to know that a critical time is coming, that Ivanovic has been on hunger strike for eight days and that now they are responsible for his health.
Djuric reiterated that Serbia provides guarantees for Ivanovic’s release on bail, and that it guarantees that he will be available to all competent institutions and bodies.
