Belgrade, Pristina sign Memorandum on vehicle insurance

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric stated that the Memorandum on vehicle insurance, signed by representatives of Belgrade and Pristina after yesterday’s round of negotiations, will make the life of citizens in the province much easier.

Addressing the press in Brussels, Djuric explained that citizens will soon be able to cross the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija in both directions without paying any insurance fee.
He recalled that queues at the administrative line were sometimes several kilometres long and that citizens had to pay high insurance policies.
The Memorandum, which will come into force within 30 days, is the result of three years of negotiations with the Pristina delegation, Djuric said.
