Talks on Community of Serbian municipalities start in Brussels

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric will lead today a Serbian delegation which will take part in the talks on formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities to be held in Brussels.

Apart from Djuric and representatives of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, other officials who will participate in today's talks are Director of the Office for the Coordination tasks in the process of negotiations with Pristina Dragan Vladisavljevic, Coordinator of the Management team to establish the Community of Serbian municipalities and Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government of provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina Ljubomir Maric and Mayor of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic.
Ahead of the Brussels meeting, Djuric said that the good news is that today, finally, after a year and a half, the talks on the Community of Serbian municipalities are officially starting.
According to Djuric, the Serbian delegation, which will include representatives of Serbs from Kosovo- Metohija, has the goal to enable that the Community of Serbian municipalities gets all the rights that are essential so that the Serbian people could be strong in the political sense.
These talks are very important for us because the Community of Serbian municipalities is one of the institutions on which our nation will rest in the future in Kosovo-Metohija, the Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija stated.
After the meeting, participants will give statements to the press in front of the building of the European External Action Service, reads a statement by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija.
