At the central state memorial ceremony marking the anniversary of the beginning of the 1999 NATO aggression in front of the former Army General Staff in Belgrade, Vucic said that Serbia still remembers each bomb, shrapnel and death, meaninglessness, sirens and tomahawks, ruins, bridges and airplanes.
We remember, and we will never forget none of those 78 days, none of the victims, the Prime Minister said.
Vucic said that Serbia does not want conflicts with anyone, not even with NATO, but added that we will be jealously protecting our military neutrality.
Serbia will not be an enemy to those who were killing us, as that is the only possible way to reconciliation, the Prime Minister said.
He said that Serbia wants to go to Europe proudly and with dignity. That does not mean to allow someone to harm its good relationship with Russia and friends in the East.
We are a small country, but a strong and proud one, with people impossible to conquer. This country can do all it takes; it can remember, and it can also win, just do not ask of us to forget, said Vucic.
We learned a lesson and we will fight for a normal and dignified life as all civilised nations in Europe have, Vucic said.
The ceremony began symbolically at 19.58 with the national anthem "God of Justice", followed by a minute of silence to pay homage to the victims of NATO bombing.
The ceremony was attended by President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Serbian government ministers, delegates of the President of the Republic of Serbia and of the Serbian National Assembly, the Chief of the General Staff and other representatives of the Serbian Army.
Also present were members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of numerous associations and citizens.
