Djuric said that the government of Serbia attaches a high priority to issues related to internally displaced persons from Kosovo-Metohija, as well as refugees who have sought refuge in Serbia.
He said that unresolved property issues and security are the main reason why there is no return of those displaced.
The current political process, he added, is aimed at improving the conditions that will lead to the improvement of living conditions for all people in Kosovo and thus facilitate the return of those who wish to return from displacement.
Henshaw said that the US Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration is already implementing two separate programmes in the region.
