Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric stated that at today’s meeting of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija, the agreement was reached on a united political activity of all members of the Serbian list in Kosovo-Metohija.
Speaking at a press conference at the Serbian government held after the meeting, Djuric underlined that in order to strengthen the interests of the Serbian community through institutional framework, it is of paramount importance that the Serbs have a unified stance and take part in the political process in the southern province.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija pointed out that the aim is to build the Community of Serbian municipalities with joint efforts and that the Serbs, through their participation in institutions, mitigate the distrust that exists in the southern Serbian province.
Djuric declared that the Serbian government will continue to give political support to the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and to invest in development projects there.
Development of Serbian municipalities was also discussed at the meeting and it was noted that the finalisation of preliminary plans for economic revival and reduction of unemployment is expected within ten days.
Djuric underlined that investments in the southern Serbian province will not be diminished and that efforts will be made to increase the transparency of the costs.
