After the liturgy, Vulin stated that Serbia is sending out a message of peace and that it expects Pristina and the international community to fulfil their obligations, the most important of which is safety for all Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and return of the displaced.
It will be known that Serbia’s message of peace is understood and accepted once all citizens of Djakovica are able to celebrate their holidays without fearing that someone might stone them and once they can enter their town without escorts, Vulin said.
It will be known that the message of peace is understood and accepted once the Devic monastery is no longer shielded by barbed wire and once the expelled Serbs are able to return to their homes and enjoy freedom and their property, he added.
The Minister without portfolio responsible for Kosovo-Metohija recalled that it has been one year since Serbia signed the Brussels agreement and did all she was asked to and to which she committed in the process of normalisation of life in Kosovo-Metohija.
For Serbs to return and to feel safe, they must be a part of life in Kosovo-Metohija, and for that to happen they must have the right to vote with their documents as before, Vulin underlined.
Vulin sent Easter greetings to all believers and wished that they celebrate the next one in a better and more peaceful situation.
In addition to ministers Vulin and Rodic, the midnight liturgy in the Devic monastery served by Stavrophore Milija Arsovic was attended by heads of districts Vasa Jelic and Vinka Radisavljevic, Mayor of northern Kosovska Mitrovica Goran Rakic and around 70 believers from Kosovska Mitrovica.
