Prime Minister Ivica Dacic stated today that the international community, as a protector of Kosovo-Metohija, is obliged to bring to justice the perpetrators of the pogrom of Serbs which took place on this day ten years ago.

“Peace cannot be built by hiding ethnic cleansing and crimes, nor it should be allowed that those guilty of violence and murders, of seizing property and burning houses, churches and monasteries remain unpunished.
The Serbian government urges the international missions in Kosovo-Metohija not to ignore violence that took place ten years ago, and requests that those guilty of this organised pogrom and ethnic cleansing be brought to court.
The March pogrom is warning us ten years later that we must not push problems in Kosovo-Metohija under the rug and that we must solve them through dialogue, because only in that way can we secure the survival of Serbs in the southern province and ensure lasting peace in the region”, reads a written statement by the Prime Minister of Serbia.
