Vulin told a press conference that the government expresses deep concern about the deteriorating security and political situation in Kosovo-Metohija, citing the examples of stoning Serbian pilgrims in Djakovica and banning the entry to Serbian citizens to Kosovo-Metohija.
He said that the entire international community must be concerned over the announcement that the Kosovo security force will be formed because this is unacceptable and contrary to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which clearly states that there can be no military in Kosovo-Metohija.
It is a territory under UN administration, and there can be only one armed force, i.e., KFOR, said Vulin.
The Minister without portfolio in charge of Kosovo-Metohija said that the government of Serbia requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council following latest developments in Kosovo-Metohija.
Violence has become everyday life in Kosovo-Metohija, and is directed against the Serbs, he said.
Vulin mentioned the arrest in Strpce, detention of Serbs despite written guarantees by the government of Serbia, the ban on the entry of Serbian ministers in the province, as well as yesterday's incomprehensible denial of entry to Kosovo to representatives of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS).
Vulin also condemned yesterday’s burning of the Serbian flag before a football match between Kosovo and Haiti.
He criticised the international community, Pristina and FIFA for taking no action and urged the international community to say whether it supports the burning of the Serbian flag.
I myself condemn this act in the strongest possible terms, said Vulin.
