Strengthening of institutions according to European norms

Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Branko Ruzic and Director for Western Balkans at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Enlargement Jean-Eric Paquet agreed today that Serbia has made a considerable progress in reforms.
Speaking at a meeting at the Serbian government, Ruzic said that the next phase in negotiating process with the EU will be much more demanding for our country, and that citizens will expect much faster progress, implementation of the regulations adopted and realisation of their rights, as well as the strengthening of institutions according to European norms.
The Minister received Jean-Eric Paquet in the capacity of the national IPA coordinator, in the light of preparations for tomorrow’s, first session of the Committee for Implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
The programming of the IPA 2014 was also discussed, as well as the plan of the European Commission to accredit a decentralised system of management of EU funds, reads a statement by the Office of the Minister without Portfolio.
