The Ministry of Defence announced that an international course on the detection and identification of toxic chemicals was conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence Centre in Kruševac, attended by members of the armed forces from ten foreign countries.

The training was delivered by certified instructors from the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence Centre. Over the course of the five-day programme, officers and non-commissioned officers from Angola, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Greece, Italy, China, Hungary, Slovenia and Spain enhanced their knowledge regarding the physicochemical properties of toxic chemicals and trained in the use of equipment for detecting contaminated materials and administering first aid in cases of poisoning.
Emphasis was placed on applying procedures for conducting toxicological analyses of water, heavy metal salts and chemically contaminated samples, utilising the laboratory for the detection and identification of toxic chemical substances.
