Minister of Foreign Affairs in a caretaker capacity Marko Đurić signed, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Joint Statement on AI Opportunity Partnership, by which Serbia joined the partnership bringing together the United States and its strategic partners in the field of artificial intelligence development and application.

The Joint Statement establishes a foundation for cooperation in the area of superintelligence, alongside a commitment to creating a regulatory environment that fosters growth and innovation while enabling the development of start-ups, developers and the private sector.
The United States welcomed the addition of 19 more signatories during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, bringing the total number of countries supporting the Joint Statement to 54 as of September this year, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
