Mrkic at ministerial meeting on Strategy for Adriatic-Ionian Region

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic is participating in a two-day Conference on the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region in Athens.

The Athens conference constitutes the key step in the preparation of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region which should be adopted in autumn, during Italy's presidency over the EU.
Participating foreign ministers will give their contribution and support to the adoption of the document.
The conference was preceded by a meeting of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative Council of Ministers that gathered from countries of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
On the margins of the meeting, Mrkic conferred with Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released.
